JOSH SASSANELLA was born and
raised in Indiana and fell in the

early age. After attending Purdue

After owning and running
ANN STEELE AGENCY for over
23 years, Ann passed away
this last December. She will be
remembered by hundreds of
actors, artists, and creatives
as a empathetic guide who loved theatre, cherished actors, and laughed every single day.
Ann was born in Texas and raised in Springfield, Missouri. Her love of the performing arts began as a speech and debate coach, and has since led her to become one NYC's most respected talent representatives for the past forty years.
Early on, Ann was a founding partner of Niederlitz and Steele, a children’s management company that guided and nurtured numbers of highly successful young actors. Among her “children” were Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame, and numerous other successful actors such as Alex Winter, Jonathan London, and Gaby Hoffman.
In 1998, Ann opened ASA, and maintained the thriving and successful agency for years. Known for her raspy speaking voice and free-to-laugh spirit, Ann loved what she did and cultivated relationships with casting directors in NYC, LA, and across the regions.
Ann will be missed, and leaves her Agency in the capable hands of her long-time assistance Josh Sassanella.
